Do you braid hair?

Currently, NO.

The purpose for the Hair Takers® is to exclusively takedown braids and REMOVE hair extensions. We do NOT install or braid hair. Our future is bright, and you never know what the future may bring. Stay tuned and follow the Hair Takers® journey!

How long is the takedown process?

Typically, timing depends on the style and conditions of clients real hair. We ask for a 2 hour minimum, per takedown. Times may vary.

Do you takedown styles other than braids?

YES! We not only take down all style braids, but we also remove hair extensions, which can include:

Sew-ins

Quick Weaves

Clip-ins

Crochet styles

K-tips

& more

Do you service men?

Yes, EVERYONE is welcome, every gender, ethnicity, sexuality, absolutely no discrimination at the Hair Takers®!

Do you service children?

Do you remove Faux Locs?

Currently, yes. However, we are strongly considering discontinuing Faux Loc removals from our services. This style is complex, and depending on the installation method used by your stylist, the takedown process can be tricky and carries a higher risk of damage to natural hair.

We recommend consulting with the stylist who installed your Faux Locs before booking a takedown appointment.

Can I come for a shampoo only?

Yes, an amazing shampoo service is offered without receiving a takedown.

Do you travel?

In short, Yes.

Hair Takers® offers a Special Travel Service for elderly clients, individuals with disabilities, post-operative clients, or anyone needing special accommodations, and have trouble visiting a Hair Takers® shop.

I have braids, but it’s all my real hair, do you takedown styles without weave?

Of course, in the event a customer has any of the listed styles, using their real hair, takedown prices are the same as shown next to that style. The takedown process is still safe, gentle, and most importantly CONVENIENT!

On the flyer it said $25 takedowns, is that true?

Read it again, we have takedown services Starting at $25. Large braids takedown is $25. A Steam treatment is $25. Companies will always advertise the lowest prices first. We not only offer convenience, but our prices are extremely reasonable.
